We’ve been sitting on this one for a while, and we’re excited to finally bring it to the studio: Reformer Pulse, our own take on reformer Pilates, built from the ground up to include cardio, core and control.
Here’s how it works. Reformer Pulse is 45 min to one hour built on an interval structure — 30 seconds of work, 15 seconds to reset, repeated through 15 different exercises, each one done for 4 rounds. Music plays throughout to keep the energy up, but the clock, not the beat, drives the pace, so every class moves with the same rhythm no matter what’s on the playlist.
What sets it apart from a traditional reformer class is the blend: you’re getting jumpboard-driven cardio alongside the core work and upper body toning reformer is known for. It’s the format for anyone who loves the precision of Pilates but wants their heart rate up too — less “hold and breathe,” more “keep moving.”
